  I called inquiring about opening a new checking account with a large sum( thousands)of money and was to go to go back to my bank! I was inquiring about the funds availability time frame.I was/am well aware of my options to use my current banking institutions to deposit this amount. I falsely assumed I had the right to deposit my money into any bank as long as I meet its requirements to open a new account. I was appalled to be told to go back to my bank. I am not required/obligated to have all my funds in one bank. Apparently,they do not want or desire new business. But, hey when a bank turns you away-you go! lol
